How I ended up laying brick in Oakland
I came to masonry later than most. I spent years at a desk, then learned the trade working under a mason who'd been laying brick for decades. In 2023 I started this business in Oakland because I'd rather fix a wall than talk about it.
Most of our calls come from owners of older homes here and in the cities around it. They've noticed crumbling joints, loose brick or water getting in, and they want to know how bad it is. We're best known for bringing worn brick back to good shape, from tired mortar joints to old chimneys and walls that have started to lean. California requires a state contractor license when a job needs a building permit, uses workers, or comes to $1,000 or more in labor and materials. We're licensed and fully insured, and when your job needs a permit, we handle the application and inspections with the city or county.
